Robert Louis Kirkland

Robert Kirkland, 65 of Lucedale, Mississippi, passed away on December 16, 2025, in Lucedale, Mississippi. Born on August 17, 1960, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, Robert spent his life rooted in the communities of Southern Mississippi.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert retired from the City of Lucedale after years of service. Known for his resourcefulness and skill, he was truly a jack of all trades- someone who could fix anything and was always ready to lend a hand when something needed repair.

Robert found joy in the simple pleasures. He loved watching the races and wrestling, and sometimes enjoyed a game of dominos, or cards with the family. These pastimes brought him happiness and connections throughout his life.

His is survived by his wife, Dolla Kirkland; daughters Tashina (Matt) Wells, and Stacie (Tyler) Courtney; son Ronnie Kirkland; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sister; Teresa Hoven; niece; Amanda Soles; 3 nephews; uncles: James Kirkland, and Willie Ray Kirkland; and aunts: Betty Fluet, Benetta Humphries; step mother, Virginia Kirkland.

Robert was preceded in death by his parent, Jerry and Elaine Kirkland; grandparents, Arlie and Annie Kirkland; brother, Ronnie Earl Kirkland; sisters: Derinda Brown and Patricia Davis; uncles: Raymond Kirkland, and Kelly Paul Kirkland.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.
