Robert D. Klauer

Robert D. "Bob" Klauer, 83 of Dubuque passed away on Friday, October 31st, 2025 at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. Per Bob's request there will be no public visitation, Private burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, Dubuque, Iowa is assisting the family.
Bob was born on January 5th, 1942 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Herbert & Bernadette (Mann) Klauer. He graduated from Drake Law School in January of 1969 and practiced law in Dubuque for over 50 years.
He married Livija Rimsans November 26th, 1966, in Dubuque, Iowa and together they traveled the world and perused many different business ventures over the years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 59 years Livija Klauer; their son, Rob (Lisa) Klauer; grandchildren Robbie and Lauren Klauer all of Dubuque, Ashlee (Jake) Bainbridge of Potosi, WI, and his youngest brother David (Vicki) Klauer, of Bernard.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents Herb & Bernadette Klauer, his son Mark Klauer, brother's Bill (Joann) Klauer, and James "Jimmy" Klauer, his sisters Mary Jo (Bob) Trentz, and Joann (Duane) Beecher
The family would like to thank the staff at MercyOne Medical Center in Dubuque and the staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals for their care of Bob.
Before his passing Bob wanted to personally thank his family, friends, and colleagues for all being part of his time here. He truly enjoyed it all
