Robert W. Knall, 81, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.
Bobby was born on September 17, 1942, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Walter and Margaret (nee Maschmeier) Knall. He graduated from Lutheran West High School in 1960 and joined the Air Force, where he served honorably in the Air Force Band. He then pursued a successful career in corporate sales for over 40 years.
Bob was a man of faith who loved the Lord and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake. He was a kind, generous, and loyal person who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his smile, laughter, and enthusiasm.
He was the loving husband of Bonnie Knall for 57 years; devoted father to Mark Knall and Lisa (Michael) Buck; proud grandpa to Jack, Patrick, and Jameson Knall and Addison, Jake, and Juan Buck; and brother-in-law to Lee (Pat) Hahner. He was a loving uncle and friend to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia "Sis" (Phillip "Flip") Gutheil.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Bob's honor be made to Ames Hospice (http://www.hospicewr.org) or Lutheran High School West (https://www.lutheranwest.com/giving.aspx).
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Sunset Chapel (6245 Columbia Road, North Olmsted, Ohio 44070). A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church (27993 Detroit Road, Westlake, Ohio 44145). He will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Section 32, with full military honors.
The Celebration of Life will be livestreamed for those unable to attend. Please visit https://www.stpaulwestlake.org to view.
