Robert W. "Bob" Knotts Jr., age 70, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at home. He was born in Lancaster, on November 28, 1953, to Robert and Betty (McCray) Knotts. He was a graduate of Amanda-Clearcreek High School as well as the Lancaster High School Vocational Program, class of 1972. Bob was a public servant for most of his adult life, retiring from Fairfield County in 2018. In his retirement, he enjoyed working at the Pizza Cottages in Lancaster and Circleville. He loved fishing, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda (North) Knotts; children, Jennifer (Daniel) Moran, of St. Clairsville and Aaron (Belinda) Knotts, of Kingston; grandchildren, Aiden and Makenna Moran, and Sara Knotts; sister, Angela Knotts, of Lancaster; brothers, Jerry (Cindy) Knotts, of Amanda and Ric Knotts, of Lancaster; several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; six grandchildren, Brock, Natalie, Noah, Landen, Lucas, and Brooklyn Knotts.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, Amanda. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
