Robert "Skip" Kritcher, born on January 21, 1945, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was a dedicated member of the community and a cherished family man, whose life touched many.
Skip's legacy is firmly anchored in his service as a Vietnam Veteran, a chapter of his life that shaped his character and instilled a spirit of resilience and loyalty. His commitment to his country exemplified the values he upheld throughout his life.
In addition to his military service, Skip had a variety of hobbies and interests that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. He was an enthusiastic HAM operator, a pastime that allowed him to connect with others and foster friendships across distances. His passion for wood carving showcased his creativity and attention to detail, and his love of photography captured the beauty of the world around him, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories.
Skip is survived by his beloved daughter, Carrie Combs; his siblings, Diane Gullick and Scott E. Hobbs; and his sister-in-law, Peggy Kritcher. Together, they will honor his memory and continue to share stories of his life and the impact he had on them.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Kritcher; his sister, Diana Dale; his brother, Thomas Kritcher; his mother, Hattie Hood Wisdom; and his father, Earl Kritcher. Each of these individuals held a special place in his heart, and their shared memories will forever remain a part of his enduring legacy.
