Robert I. LaFleur

Robert I. "Bob" LaFleur, 97, of York, Maine and Middleton, MA passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Bob was defined by his patience, kindness, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He shared 74 years of loving marriage with his wife, Lorraine, who preceded him in death.
A proud Navy veteran and reservist, afterwards he built a successful career as an engineer at GE and Raytheon, from which he retired after many years of dedicated service.
Faith and community service were central to Bob's life. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as a Grand Knight in Portsmouth, NH, before pioneering the formation of a new chapter in York, ME. He was a devout member of St. Christopher's parish in York, Maine serving in many capacities, including Eucharistic minister.
Bob cherished time with family and friends and loved a good competitive game. His passions included: Playing golf, Woodworking, Enjoying card games, and Cheering on his favorite teams, the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots
Bob was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lorraine LaFleur; his son, Robert J. LaFleur; and his eight brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving daughter, Cindy Matvichuk of Middleton; his two grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Shirley Mason of Salem, NH, and Peter Matvichuk and Robert Patterson of Key West, FL; his two cherished great-grandchildren, Van and Eva Mason; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at 11:00a.m. in St. Christopher's Church, 4 Barrel Lane, York, Maine. Burial will be in First Parish Cemetery, 180 York Street, York, Maine. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Arrangements entrusted to SOLIMINE FUNERAL HOMES, LYNN, MA.
