Robert Edmond LaFond, a cherished soul known as Robert by many, and affectionately as Bob / Robbie by close family, passed away in his sleep on July 27, 2025, at the age of 68, in Murrieta, California. Born on April 4, 1957, in Long Beach, California, his early years were marked by a vibrant curiosity and a profound appreciation for animals.

Robert's life was one of dedication and love. He leaves behind his wife, Sheryl LaFond, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring partnership. His legacy continues through his bonus children, Jennifer Brzezinski and David Saenz, and his precious granddaughter, Sofie. His sister, Linda Collins, will fondly remember Bob for his good-hearted nature and for being crazy & fun Uncle Bob to her sons.

For a remarkable 25 years, Robert applied his brilliant mind and pragmatic logic as an engineer for a medical device manufacturing company. His work was not just a job but a testament to his commitment to improving the lives of others. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and ingenuity, always ready to lend his expertise for the betterment of the team and the projects they undertook.

Robert's passion for life extended far beyond his professional endeavors. He was a true outdoorsman who found solace and excitement in nature's embrace. Boating/skiing across smooth waters, exploring caves, hiking along desert trails, and camping were among his favorite ways to share fun with others. His love for wildlife, particularly turtles and birds, reflected his deep respect for all living creatures and their environment. Photography was important for him to capture his fascination with nature.

A man who recognized the potential in every acre, Robert had an eye for real estate. If there was a piece of land with untapped value, he had the vision to see its possibilities. This love for development was another avenue through which he connected with the world, leaving his mark on the landscape he so admired.

Those who knew Robert would describe him as adventurous, willing to tackle tough challenges and generate ideas off the beaten path. He approached life with a sense of wonder and a readiness to solve dilemmas in unconventional ways. His hands, always ready to fix what was broken or to create what was needed, were a testament to his resourceful and determined spirit.

Robert's journey through life was marked by the love he shared, the adventures he embarked upon, and the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same dedication and kindness that he exemplified. Robert Edmond LaFond's story does not end here; it lives on in the hearts of those he loved and in the many lives he enriched through his generous spirit.
