He was born in Birmingham, AL on December 6, 1945, to Edwin and Eloise LaGroue.
Upon graduation from the University of Alabama, his career took him to several locations. For the last 44 years, Bob has made his home in Naperville, IL.
There was nothing Bob loved more than to spend time with his wife of 48 years, Elane Cole LaGroue, son Steven LaGroue, daughter Michelle LaGroue Conradt, son-in-law Brett Conradt and grandkids Austin Conradt and Justice Conradt.
After he retired, Bob spent his time following beloved University of Alabama football and Chicago Cubs baseball. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed dabbling in art. Always active in church, Bob spent the last 15 years as a Sunday School teacher for elementary school students.
Bob is greatly missed by many family members and friends who remember him as a genuinely nice guy with a great sense of humor.
All are invited to attend a memorial service for Bob
• Saturday, Oct. 11
• 1:00 pm with reception to follow at the church
• Compass Church – South Campus Naperville, IL
