Robert Francis Lally

Robert Francis Lally, 80, a longtime resident of East Taunton, died peacefully at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Frances L. (Forti) Lally for 57 years. Son of the late John J. "Jack" and Helen (Smith) Lally, he was born in Boston and raised and educated in Canton. Bob resided in Stoughton for 25 years and resided in East Taunton for the past 24 years. He was a journeyman pipefitter with the Local 537 in Dorchester, where he was a member for over 50 years. He was an avid golfer and member of Lakeville Country Club. He enjoyed traveling but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by sons, Kevin M. Lally and his wife Heather of Taunton and Shawn R. Lally and his wife Rebecca of Stoughton as well as his grandchildren, Ashley Faria and her husband Frank, Mackenzie Lally, Grace Lally, Megan Lally and Sophia Lally. He was the brother of the late Carol Powers, John Lally, Arthur Lally and William Lally. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 9 from 4-7 PM followed by Funeral Prayers at 7 PM. Interment will be private.
