Robert Lambitz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 7, 2014.
Robert H. Lambitz aged 85 passed away peacefully at his home on December 5 with his loving companion and family at his side. Robert was a loving brother, father, grandfather, great – grand father and a loving and supportive companion. Robert lived his life to the fullest, spending most of his adult life in Fenton, Michigan. He enjoyed playing and watching many sports and activities including waterskiing, softball, football, ping pong, bowling, basketball and especially in later years dancing. Robert loved nothing more than watching and cheering on his children or grandchildren from the stands. Robert was an Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War. A born entrepreneur Robert started selling newspapers at the age of 8. He remained a consummate salesman and entrepreneur throughout his entire life. Please join us as we celebrate and remember this wonderful man, who always had a smile on his face and kind words to say. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that you donate to your favorite charity.

We had the pleasure to meet Bob (with Tim) by chance at the last couple car shows at the Ford mansion. Although our encounters were brief, they were certainly memorable. He was such a dapper man and a gentleman! Full of positive energy. Our heart-felt condolences to the Lambitz family for their loss.

Bob Lambitz - the only voice you could always hear clearly on the football field calling out support from the stands. The Lambitz house was always open to all of the neighborhood kids at any time of day or night. It was one of the focal points of a childhood I remember with great fondness, and Bob was always there with encouragement and guidance, usually wearing a pair of white shorts as if each moment were just an interlude before he got back onto a pair of water skis. The Silvercrest kids had it pretty good, and Bob Lambitz was one of the main reasons. A truly good hearted man. My thoughts to his family and friends.

Always smiling, always positive, always generous. One of the kindest men I've ever known. So many wonderful memories as one of the many lucky kids that used to end up in the Lambitz driveway playing basketball, riding bikes, softball games, etc., on a daily basis. Jeff and Greg, I am so sorry for your loss and I am keeping you and your families in my thoughts.

Mr Lambitz, aka "big guy"
Thank you so much for the influence you have had on my life. You treated me like i was one of your sons and i will always cherish that. I have shared many stories about him with my wife and daughters through the years. And i have even incorporated long lectures as a form of punishment when they were growing up. You will be greatly missed.
