Robert “Bob” Haynes Langdale, 83, of Lakeland, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his home. Born January 19, 1942, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Ed and Hazel Langdale.
Robert honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a proud Mason and dedicated member of Lakeland Masonic Lodge #434, a Shriner with Shriners International, and an active member of the American Legion Post 336 in Lakeland. He was also a faithful and devoted member of Love Joy Community Church, where he cherished his church family.
An avid outdoorsman, Robert found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature. He was also a passionate collector who took great pride in his extensive collection of guns and knives. Above all, Robert loved his wife deeply and remained steadfast in his devotion to her throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Peggy Bennett Langdale of Lakeland, Georgia; children: Beth Langdale Smith (Danny) of Valdosta, Georgia, Renea Langdale Varn (Mike) of Lake Park, Georgia, and William Cody Langdale (Paige Cottrell) of Lakeland, Georgia; grandchildren: Heather Renea West (Mike), Jessica Barrett (Shawn), Angelina Wilkes, Titus Barton, and Nova Langdale; great grandchildren: Austin, Kade, Gavin, Anslee, Addison, Harold, J.C., Gracen, Kindle, Emma, James, Ivy, and Colton; brother, James K. Langdale (JoAnn) of Ringgold, Georgia; nieces and nephews: James K. Langdale jr., Lisa Lamb (Choy), and Kristy Lowrey (Craig); many other loving family members.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 24, 2025, at Love Joy Community Church with burial to follow in Love Joy Cemetery, Lakeland. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the church. The Langdale family is being served by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
