Robert Wayne Langrel, Sr. July 28, 1946 – April 7, 2025
Robert “Bob” Wayne Langrel, Sr., 78, of Reddington, Indiana, passed away on April 7, 2025.
Born on July 28, 1946, in Kingsport, Tennessee, Robert was the son of Frona May Langrel Dean and Albert Dean (step-father).
Bob dedicated his life to providing for his wife Nancy and their four children. He retired from Arvin’s after 38 years of service. He had a great work ethic that he passed on to his family. He was very patriotic and one of his proudest moments was when his son enlisted in the United States Army.
Some of Bob’s greatest joys were watching Nascar, going to casinos with his wife Nancy, gardening, camping, working around the house and spending time with his grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Nancy who he lost last December. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca Langrel; Angela Langrel (and her son Joshua); his son, Robert Langrel Jr. (and his children Christian and Raegan); and his daughter, Cynthia Dickens (and her son Austin).
A celebration of Bob and Nancy’s life will be held this summer in their hometown of Gate City, Virginia. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Bob and Nancy to join in remembering them.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Bob’s honor.
