His Legacy Robert Allen Lawson, 81, passed away April 30, 2023. He was born on December 5, 1941, in River Rouge, Michigan to James Lawson and Sarah (Neil) Lawson. Bob married the love of his life, Gaynal Southwell, on November 13, 1965, in Wayne, Michigan. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1960-1964 and loved his country. He had a hard shell over a soft heart, even though he grew up in a generation that didn't say "I love you" often, he always made sure that his family knew. Bob loved the outdoors and woodworking. He adored his children and grandchildren. Bob built them a zipline to play on and enjoyed seeing them have fun. He was always smiling and happy to see you. Bob had a special affinity for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Bob was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
His Family Bob will be missed by his wife, Gaynal Lawson; his children, Joe Lawson, Julie (Kent) Emerson, Tracy (Jim) Albus, Stephanie (Chad) Daggy; grandchildren, Sarah (Luke), Dakota, Mackenzie, Alec, Katie, Tori, Matt, and Abby. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Sarah Lawson; and siblings, Jean and Tom.
