Robert Anthony Leachman, 71, of Zionsville passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday November 29, 2018.Robert was born on March 4, 1947 in Mobile, AL; the son of the late Jesse and Bobbie (Stephens) Leachman. He married the love of his life, Kathy O'Connor, on December 30, 1967.Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served his country in Korea during the Vietnam War. He was his family's resident baker, enjoyed shelling "Texas" pecans, camping, and fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He also enjoyed hand-carving walking sticks, but above all else, he loved spending time with his family.Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Kathy; a daughter Rebecca (Mark) Doud and two grandchildren, Hannah Doud and Jonathan Doud.Family and friends will gather Monday December 3, 2018 for visitation from 10am until time of services at 12pm, at College Park Church 2606 W. 96th St. Indianapolis, IN 46268. Burial with military rights will immediately follow the funeral service at Lincoln Memory Gardens Cemetery in Whitestown, IN.

Great man-knew him at church in Spring TX. Always friendly and made you smile when seeing him. Great to know beyond shadow of a doubt where he resides today!

Kathy and kidsKnow that I am so sorry I can't be there with you but know that I will thinking of you and praying for you tomorrow. I will really miss Rob but I know he is with all of our family up in heaven and all of ours true Father. Love your sister.
