Mr. Robert Terry Lee, better known as Bobby, age 63 of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at his residence.
Bobby was a New Year's Day baby, born on January 1, 1962 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Robert Turner and Geneva Ann Billings Lee. Bobby's professional career was deeply rooted in the State of Tennessee - spanning from Memphis to Kingsport. He began his 30 year career with the state as a Field Appraiser in 1984, eventually serving as General Counsel to the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. Following his service to the state, Bobby founded Lee Law Firm in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Bobby loved his job and fully enjoyed the work he did. He was a proud board member for the IAAO, where he developed lasting relationships with many.
Bobby also relished his time away from work rooting on his favorite sports teams. His Saturdays in the fall were devoted to the Vols and Sundays to the Titans with his season tickets. However, his greatest time was spent with his loving family, especially his beloved granddaughter that knew him as "Pops."
Surviving family members include his two sons, Josh Lee and wife Lauren and Jordan Lee and wife Hannah all of Hermitage
Granddaughter: Scarlett Lee
Sister: Donna Jobe and husband Jimmy of Murfreesboro
Nieces: Lindsay (Jack) Burk, Lauren (Brian) Wall, Jennifer Stinnett, Whitteny Stinnett and Maggie Stinnett
Several grand nieces and nephews also survive
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Sunday, January 26, 2025 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Doyle Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7:00pm Saturday and after 12:00pm Sunday at Hunter Funeral Home. Johnny Markham will officiate.
Randy Pitman, Paul Teeple, Mike Pearson, Jimmy Jobe, Terry Stinnett, Drew Hobbs, Bert Geer and Mike Garrett will serve the family as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Sandy Daniels, Paul Carr, Glenn Farmer and Kirk Sarago
