Robert Lee Stall passed away November 25, 2025 at the age of 92.
Robert Lee Stall was born in Rosanky, Texas, on January 30, 1933, to August and Frances Stasny Stall. He grew up with a strong sense of family, hard work, and love for the outdoors -values that shaped his entire life.
Robert married Esther Mae Stall, and together they raised three stepchildren whom he cared for deeply. He built his career with the MKT Railroad and later retired from Union Pacific, earning the respect of his coworkers through his dedication and steady work ethic.
Outside of his work, Robert found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and hunting, and the peace of the outdoors was where he was truly at home. Those who knew him remember his quiet strength, his kindness, and the way he could make any gathering feel warmer just by being there.
Robert is survived by his sisters, Betty Schutz and Nancy Gosch, along with many nephews and nieces who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his brother, Milburn Stall, and his brother-in-law, Ben Schutz.
Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and a life well lived. He will be missed deeply by all who knew him.
Services will be Friday, December 5, 2025 at Marrs Jones Funeral Home in Smithville, Texas. The visitation will begin at 11:00am and the service will begin at 1:00pm with burial following at Oak Hill Cemetery.
