Robert "Bob" LINDGREN

1935 - 2025

Lindgren, Robert "Bob" Alfred, age 89, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on March 30, 2025, in Pullman, Washington.

Bob was born September 13, 1935, in Spokane, Washington.

At the age of 12, Bob, sister, Beverly, and parents, Margaret "Babe" and Theodore "Ted" Lindgren, moved to Tekoa, Washington. Bob graduated from Tekoa High School in 1953. He later attended Washington State College and Eastern Washington College of Education.

In 1954, while working as a car salesman/auto mechanic in his father's business at Tekoa Motors Chrysler car dealership, he joined the Air National Guard Reserves. He worked as a mechanic until 1987, when he went to work for the Tekoa School District for 12 years, then retired.

Bob met his beautiful, beloved wife, Dorothy, in high school and married her in 1956. The two were married for 62 wonderful years.

Bob was a car-nut. He enjoyed his car clubs, as well as delivering cars for the auction house in the Spokane area. But his true loves were his wife and family. Bob's surviving loved ones are his four boys: Roger San Diego, California, Ken (Karen) Oakesdale, Washington, John (Deb) Vancouver, Washington, and Donnie (Shelli) Moses Lake, Washington.

Bob has eight wonderful grandchildren: Patrick (Sara) Lindgren Palm City, Florida, Lance Lindgren Oakesdale, Washington, Alexa Lindgren Moses Lake, Washington, Lindsey (Colt) Sanford Harrington, Washington, and Dax and Asher Lindgren Moses Lake, Washington; two great-grandchildren, Knox and Capri Lindgren Palm City, Florida; and honorary "Bishop" grandson, Cooper O'Rourke Pullman, Washington.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lindgren; sister, Bev Ewing; and grandsons, Zachary and Tyce Lindgren.

The family suggests memorial gifts be made to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, 911 W. 5th Ave., Spokane, WA 99204, or Tekoa Community Church, PO Box 845, Tekoa, WA 99033.

Celebration of life services will be held at the Tekoa Community Church, April 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm.
