Robert G. Locher, 80, of Strongsville, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Bob was born on November 1, 1945, in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Frank and June (Kling) Locher.

Bob was a United States Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany. He retired from JH Industries as the plant manager after 44 years of service. He loved fishing and boating, especially the annual fishing trips to Quebec. He also enjoyed bike riding and golfing. Bob had a keen interest in identifying birds. He was a longtime member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Kendziora) Locher, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage; son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Melanie) Locher, Jr.; siblings, Joyce Lutz, Lucille (Kenneth) Mearns, and David (Patricia) Locher; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 3 to 7 pm at Waite Funeral Home: 3300 Center Road, Brunswick, OH 44212. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John Nuemann Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 11 am. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, with military honors.
