Robert Loesch Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lewis Funeral Home - Moorestown on Nov. 20, 2025.
Mr. Robert John Loesch, 88, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025 at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, New Jersey. Born on September 15, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he lived a life marked by service, dedication, and deep devotion to his family and faith.

A 1955 graduate of Collegeville-Trappe High School, Mr. Loesch began a lifetime of service shortly thereafter. He proudly served his country as a veteran of both the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1960 and the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. His commitment to public service continued long after his military career ended.

In 1969, Mr. Loesch began working for the United States Post Office, where he remained until his retirement in 1992. Not one to rest for long, he later joined the Burlington County Highway Traffic Engineering Department in 1996 and worked there until 2011. His work ethic and sense of duty were evident throughout his professional life.

Beyond his career, Mr. Loesch was deeply involved in his community and pursued his passions with enthusiasm. An avid modeler, he was a life member of the Crosswinds RC Club and an active member of the Delran Junior Marksman Club. He also served as a life member and fire police lieutenant with Relief Engine Company No. 2 in Moorestown, New Jersey-another testament to his lifelong dedication to helping others.

A devout Roman Catholic, Mr. Loesch was a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church and a proud 3rd Degree Knight with Moorestown Council 1082 of the Knights of Columbus. His faith was a guiding force throughout his life.

Mr. Loesch is survived by his beloved wife Patricia (Kelley); sons John, James (Mickey), Daniel; daughter Kathryn (Katie) Scott; brother John M. Loesch Jr.; sisters Kathryn (Kae) James and Margaret (Peggy) Reifsneider; grandsons Derek Scott, Justin Scott, Joshua Scott, and Jimmy Loesch; and granddaughter Emily Scott.

He was predeceased by his parents John M. and Lillian (McCall) Loesch and sister Mary Partain.

Mr. Loesch's legacy is one of unwavering service-to his country, community, church, and most importantly to those he loved. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.

A Viewing will be held on November 24, 2025, from 09:00 AM to 10:15 AM at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 42 W. Main St. in Moorestown, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment
