Robert "Bob" Lowry

Robert F. "Bob" Lowry, 93, went home to his Lord and Savior Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Grand Valley Health and Rehab in Martinsville.

He was born Tuesday, April 5, 1932 to the late Chester A. "Bill" and Evon Joy (Lewis) Lowry in Morgan County, Indiana. On July 6, 1956, he married Janie C. (Dillon) Lowry who passed away August 17, 2019.

Bob lived in Morgan County all his life and was a 1951 graduate of Martinsville High School. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 and served on the USS Pollux. Bob worked as a warehouse manager at Capital Paper (eventually Bunzl) starting in 1956 until his retirement after 41 years in 1997. Bob was a member of Martinsville Church of the Firstborn for many years. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and enjoyed helping others. Bob was a kind soul who genuinely made a positive impact on everyone he met. He was a devoted husband to Janie and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his son, Kevin Lowry (Bridget); daughter, Lisa Coffman; grandchildren, Ryan Myers (Amie), Jeff Coffman (Charity), Josie Lowry, Josh Lowry (Alexis), Jacob Lowry, Jesse Coffman (Brittany); 17 great grandchildren; aunt, Martha Seagrave; several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death are his wife, Janie; parents, Bill and Evon; brother, John T. Lowry.

Visitation is 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Services are 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2026 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Bro. Max Piercefield officiating. There will be an hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 10:00 a.m.

Bob will be laid to rest with military honors at New South Park Cemetery.
