Robert Luna

Robert (Bob) Z. Luna,75, of Colorado Springs, passed away on February 19th, 2026. He was born on January 16th, 1951, in San Antonio, Texas where he grew up surrounded by a large and loving family.

Robert served his country with distinction for 22 years in the United States Army, ultimately holding the rank of First Sergeant. His time in the service shaped his character and sense of duty, qualities that defined him throughout his life. He carried himself with quiet strength and dignity and was known by those closest to him as a man of few words whose presence alone spoke volumes.

He cherished his grandchildren-Giulia Luna, Lorelei Stoneburner, and Connor Stoneburner-who brought him immeasurable happiness and joy. He is survived by his children, Robert Luna, Dan Luna, and Rebecca Luna, and his son-in-law, Jeremy Stoneburner. Though sometimes reserved, Robert was a devoted father whose quiet pride in his children ran deep. He also maintained a supportive and respectful relationship with his former wife, Birgit Luna.

Robert is survived by his sisters Irene Duran, Maria S. Marroquin, and Patsy Montgomery, and his brothers Adam, Jesse, Candelario, and Lucio Luna Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucio and Petra Luna, and his siblings Estella, Isabel, Eva, Delfino, and David Luna.
