Funeral Services for Mr. Robert Mott Lyde, 70, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, with Rev. Richard McAdams officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Robert was born May 21, 1954, and went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 22, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was a member of The Anchor Baptist Church. Robert retired in 2019 from VFP Fire Systems, where he worked since he was 18 years old. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering around his shop with small projects.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Dot Lyde; and sister, Kathy Tornatore.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Gail Skrine Lyde; five children, Tracy Capps, Chris Lyde, Elisha Adkison and husband Michael, Brandon Lyde and wife Karen, Jason Lyde and wife Sara; 12 grandchildren, Timmy, Taylor, Bryce, John Luke, Tristan, Zoe, Baylen, Axel, Victoria, Makayla, Dylan, and Emorie; two sisters, Lisa Morgan, and Wanda Welch; fur babies, Daisy, Bella, Smokey and Star; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
The pallbearers will be Tristan Adkison, Michael Adkison, Brandon Lyde, Jason Lyde, Baylen Lyde, Randy Morgan, and Allan Thomas.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
