Robert P. Macaluso

Robert P. Macaluso, beloved husband of Ruth (Haley) Macaluso, passed away on Sunday, October 16th, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Josephine (Polito) Macaluso.
Devoted father of Lynn, Sue, Bobby, John Macaluso and Carole Matte. Beloved father-in-law of Patsy Macaluso and the late Dennis Matte. Loving Papa of Brett, Cody, and Haley Macaluso. Special brother-in-law to Marilyn Haley. Loving brother of the late Mary Sgro, Annette Griffin, Olga Fee, Edie Elder, Charlie and Joe Macaluso. He also leaves many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob grew up in Somerville and was a graduate of Somerville High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He married his beloved wife of 62 years, Ruth on November 19, 1960 and they settled in Reading and raised their five children. Bob worked hard his whole life. He put himself through night school while working full-time as an electronic technician for Raytheon, where he retired after 40 years of service. Bob enjoyed golfing and winters in Florida with his wife, Ruth. He loved all sports, animals, cooking and painting but most of all his greatest joy in life came from being with his family.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Thursday, October 20th, 2022 at 10:00am. Burial will be held privately and there are no visiting hours.
