Robert F. Macaulay, 69, passed away peacefully on March 27 with his wife and children by his side. Bob was born in Leicester to the late Robert D. and Shirley (Smart) Macaulay. He was educated in Leicester and enlisted in the US AirForce in 1974. Bob lived a full and adventurous life. He was a quiet, dignified man who enjoyed Civil War history. He had the sharpest wit and sense of humor. Bob and Jan spent years snowmobiling, fishing, boating and jet skiing. He loved the Red Sox but his favorite pastime was watching Patriots games with his son Michael and his grandson Jack. He loved being a grandpa and teasing the little ones. Bob worked for RH White Construction for many years. He spent the last 20 years of his career with Baltazar Contractors in Ludlow and retired in 2024.
He leaves his wife Janet (Skagerlind) Macaulay; his son Michael Macaulay; his daughters: Kimberly Reddy and her husband Bex and Melissa Cormier and her husband Brad; Janet's daughters: Kimberly Andrade and her husband Michael and Heather Echols and her fiancé Mark Morel; Bob and Jan had many grandchildren together: Jack, Victoria, Isabelle, Owen, Amari, A.J., Sara, Jack, Emily, Kameia, Nathan, Ben and Alexis; Sandy his former wife and the mother of his children; his brother Bill Macaulay; his sisters: Kathy Ward and her husband Terry and Karen Bossé and her husband Chris; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
