Robert Macias passed away peacefully on the morning of December 21, 2025. He leaves behind the love of his life of 60 years, Margaret and their children Liz Guerricagoitia (Sal), Deb Doolittle (John), Mary Clopton (Dennis), Robert Macias (Carol), his grandchildren Ashley, Sarah, Sal, Xavier, Cheska, Adrianna, Dominic, Hattie, Angela and two great grandchildren, Adrian and Liam. Brothers, Carlos (Millie), Paul (Martina) and Mark.Robert is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Josephine, brothers Thomas Jr. (Joyce), Frank (Connie) sisters Rosie (Tony) Lopez, Mary Helen Garcia, Anita Macias, Carol Galvin, Mary Seyedi and granddaughter Jessica.
Born on February 24, 1943 in Kansas City, KS, Robert was an OTR truck driver and mechanic before retiring. Robert loved working on cars, fishing, hunting and was a champion league bowler with his team The Take Five. He enjoyed his early years with his family of 10 brothers and sisters. He met the love of his life Margaret while working at her family restaurant, Las Chiquitas. Robert was a proud parishioner of Queen of the Holy Rosary.He instilled in his children and friends the importance of family, honor, and having a strong work ethic. He loved his incredibly large immediate and extended family and would always keep in contact and offer a helping hand. Anyone that met our Dad had a friend for life.He’s in Heaven now and you can be sure everyone there already knew it because the first words out of his mouth was, “I’m here! Everyone can take a break! In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities.
