Robert Mack Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on May 25, 2024.
Robert (Bob) Mack, died on Thursday, May 23, 2024. Bob was born in Philadelphia on April 02, 1940.
Bob died suddenly and painlessly doing what he loved, taking care of his property. He was respected and cherished by all of his neighbors, friends, and to anyone who came to know him. Bob grew up in the Rhawnhurst section of North East Philadelphia and always talked fondly about his childhood, especially his close friends growing up. He became a skilled carpenter and always stayed busy making improvements around his house as well as his daughters' houses. In his younger days and his twilight years, Bob enjoyed traveling from coast to coast, seeing the country he loved. Bob was a wonderful storyteller and passionate sports fan. He especially loved college football games, and watching Penn State football was his favorite. It certainly didn't hurt that his 2 daughters and 2 of his grandsons also attended Penn State.
Bob will be missed by everyone who knew him, but he will especially be missed by the love of his life for the past 7 years, his life partner who made him the happiest man on Earth, Margi Vietti. Margi shared with him the best years of his life. Whether it was partying with family and friends until 2am, attending plays, or enjoying the best food he had ever tasted (usually cooked by his Italian girlfriend, Margi). Margi and Bob were always happy and dancing. Seeing the two of them together would've convinced you that they were teenagers back in the '50s taking life day by day.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Kathryn. He is the devoted father to Tracy Kratz (Stephen Kratz) and Christine Shepper (Stephen Shepper). Bob is also survived by his loving grandsons, Robert, Joseph, Jack and Patrick, who all miss their O'bob dearly.
Bob's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 10 to 11AM, at McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave. Southampton, PA 18966. A Life Celebration service for Bob will begin at 11AM. His interment is to be held privately at the request of his family.

Bob and I worked for the same company for quite a number of years. I always respected him and was often challenged by him to learn to take things less seriously. He modeled in his life what truly need to be priority, family. I had heard from him out of the blue this past spring (it had been quite a number of years, and I had since moved from the area) It was a phone call that made my day, hearing about what he was doing as well as news of other colleague of that time. It was truly a gift to have known him.

We want to express our sorry to all of Bobs family and close friends. Bob and I worked for various carpenter contractors over the 60 some years. We were friends and kept in touch for most of those years. We went on a vacation together and flew to Jamaica. We went to a place called Couples. Also Dennis and Pat Rimmer and Bob and Cathy were with us. What a blast. Happy times for sure. We learned the Cathy sadly passed some years ago. Since then we learned Bob meet a wonderful young lady named Margi. We are glad for time they enjoyed each other.
Again so sorry for Bob´s passing. James and Trudy
