Robert E. MacLeod

Robert E. MacLeod, age 85, beloved husband of 59 years of Nancy A. (Baggs) MacLeod died Monday, December 8, 2025 at their home with his family by his side.
He was born in Cambridge, August 22, 1940 a son of the late Matheson and Violet (Matheson) MacLeod and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica in 1966.
Bob served in the US army during the Vietnam War era attaining the rank of Sergeant then went on to a 30 year career with Polaroid retiring as a supervisor.
In his spare time he enjoyed working in his yard as well as attending many Billerica sporting events to see his children and grandchildren play and also following all of the Boston sports teams.
Most important to Bob was spending time with his wife Nancy, their children and especially their grandchildren.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Robert MacLeod and Donald MacLeod and his wife Carol all of Billerica. One brother, Kenneth MacLeod of Houston, TX as well as his six beloved grandchildren, Caitlin, Amanda, Matheson, Sara, Audrey and Cameron. He was the brother of the late John and Raymond MacLeod.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, December 11, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
