Robert J. Mailhiot

Arundel

Robert J. Mailhiot, 53, of Arundel, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning on August 28, 2025 at home.

He was born in Portland on May 3, 1972, a son of David Mailhiot and Linda (Lizotte) Mailhiot. He graduated from Biddeford High School.

Robert worked as a mechanic for many years for himself and an auto dealership. He helped many friends with their troubles and was always willing to help others. For a short period of time he was employed by the City of Biddeford. A man with many interests he even earned his CDL license and drove trucks for various companies.

Robert enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, snowmobiles and going boating. He also spent time fishing, hunting and camping. He followed Nascar, local racing and never turned down a trip to a casino. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends. He will be remembered for his big smile, good attitude and his happy go lucky personality. He will be sadly missed.

He was predeceased by his father David Mailhiot.

He is survived by his mother Linda Mailhiot, his two daughters Ashley Gray and Chantel Mailhiot, stepdaughter Alyssa Paymer, two siblings Ann Dale and husband Porter and Renald J. Mailhiot and Kathy. He is also survived by one niece Brianna, two nephews Quinten and Evan, aunts and uncles and many friends.
