Robert J. Mangan, age 76, of Aston, PA, passed away on September 26, 2025, at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born and raised in Chester, PA, Robert spent the past 10 years living in Aston, after many years in Upper Chichester. He was a proud graduate of St. James High School. For much of his life, Robert worked as a bartender, most recently at Harrah's Casino in Chester, where he enjoyed meeting people and sharing good conversation.
Robert was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan, enjoying wrestling and was especially an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, and took great joy in cheering on his teams. He also enjoyed in the 1990's acting in the community theater and attending many concerts like Who's Who in Rock. Robert was a caretaker for his mother until her passing in 2010. He will be remembered for his kind nature, his love of sports, and the friendships he built over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Agnes T. (Adamonis) Mangan. Robert is survived by his cousins, Sylvia Briscoe, Peter Adamonis, and Lisa Kei, as well as his dear friends, Neil Marder and Billy Eckel.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
