Robert Dale Marchut Robert Dale Marchut, 81, formerly of Wyomissing, died April 2, 2021 in his Reading residence. He was the widower of Barbara Ann (Matetich) Marchut who died September 11, 1995. Born March 10, 1940, in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Bertha Ann Marchut. He was a 1958 graduate of Reading High School. Robert worked as a laborer for 17 years with Firestone Tire and Rubber, Pottstown. He later worked 22 years as a custodian with the Reading School District, before retiring in 2006. Robert was an Air Force Veteran. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Robert is survived by four children: Robert Marchut of Kenhorst; Brian Marchut of Roseville, CA; Barry, husband of Ginny (Fralick) Marchut of Wyomissing; and Beth Marchut of Reading. Other survivors include nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Prayer Services will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Friday, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
