Robert J. Marek

Robert J. Marek, 79, of El Campo passed away on February 21, 2014. He was born in Fayetteville, Texas on December 18, 1934 to the late Robert and Claudie Malek Marek. He was a retired machinist at Alcoa and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Survivors include his wife Margaret Sulak Marek of Louise, daughters Rebecca Dluhos (Rodney) of El Campo, Deanne Hubenak of Corpus Christi, and Lisa McCrary of El Campo, sons Robert Marek of Louise and Richard Marek (Kim) of El Campo, grandchildren Sarah Reynolds (Jason), Rachel Dluhos, Bethany Hubenak (Will), Stacy Hubenak, Ashley Hubenak, Kayla McCrary, Kara McCrary, Macy Marek, and Mathew Marek, great-grandchildren Brooklyn Reynolds, and sister Evelyn Marek. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Jerry Marek. Visitation will be held on Monday February 24 from 12 pm to 7 pm at Triska Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 10:30 am on Tuesday February 25 with funeral services to follow at 11 am at St. Procopius Catholic Church in Louise with Rev. Clement Quainoo officiating. Burial will follow at St. Procopius Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Dluhos, Jason Reynolds, Blake Priesmeyer, Will Hubenak, Timmy Sulak, and Michael Sulak.
