Robert B. Matteoni – Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the never ending love of his family on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at the age 91. Robert was a cherished husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather,
Loving husband to Margaret Matteoni for 67 1/2 years, Beloved father to Catherine (Robert) Wells, Joseph (Barb) Matteoni, Serena Matteoni, and Anthony (Nancy) Matteoni. Cherished grandfather of Jeffrey (Mary) Hunt, Joseph Wells, Craig Wells, Robert (Barbara) Matteoni, Frank Matteoni, Andrew (Jasmine) Matteoni, Dominic, Devin and Nicholas Matteoni. Proud great-grandfather of Briana Hunt, Joseph Hunt and Hailey Martin. Beloved brother to the late Angelo (Gloria) Matteoni. Beloved uncle, godfather and friend to many.
Robert was born in the City of St. Louis, MO to the late Joseph & Catherine Matteoni on April 11, 1932. Robert served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War, and worked as a Machinist for over 40 years at Crane Company.
Robert will be remembered as the most loving husband, best dad, proud grandpa & great-grandpa that anyone could ever have, and friend to many.
He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation, Thursday, January 25, 2024, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral & Cremation Center, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, St. Charles, MO 63304. Visitation again on Friday, January 26, 2023, 9:45 AM until time of MASS at 10:30 AM at Assumption Catholic Church, 403 N. Main Street, O'Fallon, MO 63366. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

What a wonderful man and uncle.Know matter where or when I saw Uncle Bob he would always have a smile on his face and usually a cigar in his hand,come up to me and say.."hello Katy how have you been doing and give me a kiss!" He always asked about our girls and told me how beautiful they are. For being an inlaw in the Tocco family over 48 years he treated me just like family. I'm going to miss him as is so many other family and friends,but I also know he was welcomed into Heaven by his Lord and Savior on this day and is surround by the love of his family and friends. Until we meet again Uncle Bob..love you, Cathy Tocco
