Robert Knox McCown, 74, of San Rafael, California passed away unexpectedly on 17 November 2025. He was born on 18 July 1951 in Denver, Colorado, to a military family and lived throughout the United States and France. He was a graduate of Novato High School where he played football and wrestled, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from San Francisco State.
He was the owner of RKM Concrete, serving the eight Bay Area counties. He was a kind, fair, and compassionate person and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his brother and sister in law James H. McCown, Jr. and Karen McCown of Carmichael, California and is preceded in death by his parents James H. McCown and Virginia McCown.
Graveside service will be held at Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Avenue, Petaluma, California, phone (707) 762-6683, on a date to be determined.
