Robert Lee McCullough, known for his easy-going nature and quick wit, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025, in Madeira, Ohio, at the age of 83. Born on July 31, 1942, in West Warwick, Rhode Island, Robert’s journey through life was marked by devotion to family, a spirit of adventure, and a legacy of kindness.

Robert spent his formative years in Port Jervis, New York, where he built lifelong friendships and cherished memories. His path later led him to the Washington, DC area for a decade before settling in Madeira, Ohio, where he continued to touch the lives of those around him.

A proud veteran, Robert served as a Petty Officer (E4) in the US Navy aboard the USS Intrepid, embodying the values of service and dedication. His professional career was equally distinguished; he worked for AT&T until his retirement in 1990, after which he founded his own company, Rmac & Associates, demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit and resilience.

Robert’s greatest joy was found in the company of his family and friends. He is survived by his brother Roy and sister-in-law Joyce; his children, Robert and Steven; daughter- in-law, Gwen; grandchildren, Allie, Caitlyn, Halle, and Cameron; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Mila, Evie, Amir, and Aniya; and his sisters-in-law Jillian and Karen along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan McCullough; brothers George, Thomas, and Dennis; and his parents, George and Mary.

Known for his love of fishing, golf, cruises, and a good meal, Robert approached life with humor and warmth. He often joked in retirement, “Why put off to tomorrow what I can put off altogether,” a testament to his playful spirit. Above all, Robert valued family and friendship. His easy-going, friendly demeanor and love for a good time made every gathering brighter. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Robert’s life was a tapestry of laughter, love, and loyalty—a story that will be cherished and retold by those who loved him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 9:30 am, at St. Gertrude Church, 6543 Miami Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45243. Burial of cremated remains will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery where military rites will be observed.
