It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Edwin McCurry, a loving husband, beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who passed away on Friday April 4th, 2025, at the age of 85.
Robert was born on October 29, 1939 in Sunray, OK. He lived a full and meaningful life, dedicated to his family and community. His kindness, sense of humor, and steadfast support for those he loved will never be forgotten. A gentle soul always.
Robert was known for his warm smiles, friendship, and unwavering kindness. He was a devoted grandfather. His passion and purpose in life was to serve his grandchildren. Whether it was attending football, soccer, or baseball games, or out of town volleyball tournaments, Robert made sure he was in attendance. His legacy of hard work, generosity, and love of family will live on through his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Marshall and Florence McCurry, brother Marvin McCurry, and sister Patricia Bridges. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sue McCurry, son Scott McCurry and wife Beth McCurry, son Jeffrey McCurry and wife Renee McCurry, and grandchildren Robert McCurry, Phillip McCurry and wife Alyssa McCurry, Madeline Dworak and husband Luke Dworak, Grayson McCurry, Cameron McCurry, Brock McCurry, and Emily McCurry.
Friends are cordially invited to gather with the family from five until eight o'clock in the evening with a celebration of life at six o'clock and a reception to follow on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Bradshaw-Carter Funeral Home, 1734 West Alabama Street.

Robert will be greatly missed, but his memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
