Robert McElwee Obituary
He was born October 2, 1960, in Hot Springs, the son of the late Robert "Stack" Lewis McElwee and Carol Layton McElwee. Timmy retired in December of 2022 from the Owners Club at the Homestead after 21 years of service as the Member Service Director.
He was a 1979 Graduate of Bath County High School where he enjoyed the Drama Club, Photography Club, and working on the yearbook. He was formerly employed by the Homestead Resort where he worked in the Grounds Maintenance Department. He loved to go camping and fishing.
He is survived by an aunt, Rachel McElwee of Hot Springs; and a cousin, Christie McElwee of Roanoke, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Torrie Lynn McElwee.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Warm Springs Cemetery with John Young officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McLaughlin & Young Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1112, Hot Springs, Virginia 24445 to help with the funeral expenses.
