Robert Allan McKeel, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, in Buchanan, Michigan.
Robert was born on June 2, 1938 in Niles, Michigan to the late Edward McKeel and Winona (Jones) Raven.
Left to cherish the memory of Robert are his sons, Robert McKeel, Michael (Robin) McKeel, and Rick (Sheryl) McKeel; grandchildren, Shannon (Zach) Luplow, Ava McKeel, Abigail McKeel, Megan McKeel and Matthew McKeel; great grandson, Jack Luplow; brother, Edward McKeel; sister, Marian Mattson, and step-sister, Sheryl Noland.
Robert enjoyed a variety of pastimes, including golfing, fishing, bowling and classic cars. He also enjoyed watching local stock car racing and attending sporting events. He was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan and attended many football games in Ann Arbor. After graduating from Buchanan High School in 1957, he earned his journeyman card as a Tool and Die Maker. He spent more than fifty years working in that trade with over twenty of those years for the Clark Equipment Company in Buchanan, Michigan. Through his work he forged many lasting friendships.
Visitation for Robert will be on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 11:00am to 12:00pm with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00pm at Brown Funeral Home, 521 East Main St. Niles, MI 49120. Burial will immediately follow at Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, 61453 M-51, Niles, Michigan 49120.
There will be a luncheon following the burial at the Niles Elks Lodge, 1322 Canal St. Niles, MI.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home.
