Robert "Mick" Leroy McKeel, 83, of Sharpsville, and York, PA, passed away Thursday evening, January 29, 2026, in his home.
Mr. McKeel was born July 28, 1942, in Sharon, a son of the late Earl and Ruth (Black) McKeel. He was a 1951 graduate of Sharpsville High School.
A proud veteran and American, Mick was a Navy corpsman in Vietnam from 1961 to 1965.
For many years, Mick worked as a window design engineer.
He was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, Sharpsville.
Mick was a member of the American Legion Post 799, York, PA.
An avid hunter, he also enjoyed restoring his 1963 Corvette.
His wife of over 40 years, April (O'Connor) McKeel, whom he married on September 11, 1982, preceded him in death on September 12, 2025.
Mick is survived by a son, Brian Harhager; two brothers, Charlie McKeel (Terri), and Jeff McKeel (Shirley); two sisters, Kelly Ward, and Marcy McKeel; two grandchildren, Samantha Fake (Daniel), and Madison Schneider (Nikolaus); a great-grandson, Mason Fake; and a nephew, Chris O'Connor (Ivy).
In addition to his parents and spouse, Mick was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Grace, and a brother-in-law, Curt Ward.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
