Robert K. McKillip, Sr., 86, of Nashua, NH, passed away, Friday, April 25, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Imelda (Dostie) McKillip.
He was born in Mount Pleasant, Michigan on June 9, 1938, a son of the late Donald and Wilma (Leahy) McKillip.
Raised in Mount Pleasant, he attended Central Michigan University. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1962 where he was assigned as a crew member to submarine patrol squadron VP-10 located in Brunswick, Maine.
Robert worked for many years at Benner Electronic Service, Sanders Associates, Microwave Associates, and BAE Systems and later at US Cellular as an electronic technician before his retirement.
Robert was a dedicated communicant of St. John XXII Parish at Infant Jesus Church where he served as a Eucharistic Minister as well as the co-director in group 1 of the bereavement meal committee alongside the late, Leona Belanger. He was a member and past Financial Officer of the St. Christopher's Knights of Columbus and an officer at the American Legion Post 3. Robert was also a Past Grand Knight of Council 122 here in Nashua.
In addition to his wife Millie, Robert is survived by his four children, Carol McKillip of Merrimack, Barbara Rose, Michelle McKillip and her wife Pam Jobst of Arizona, and Robert McKillip Jr. and his wife Patricia of Manchester; his five grandchildren, Zachary, Mackenzie, Kyle, Rebekah, and Benjamin; as well as one great-grandchild, Opal. He is also survived by his three siblings, Joanne Coffey, Charlotte Lamb and Michael McKillip as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Jeanne O'Hanian and his grandchild Gabriel.
