Robert "Steve" Stephen McLain, age 65, passed away September 4, 2024. He spent his life building different things and doing electrician work. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He will be truly missed by all who were honored to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ethel McLain; son, John Wesley Dyess; grandson, Nicholas Blake Miller; granddaughter, Gracie Faith Hoffman; brothers, Larry McLain, Ronnie McLain, and Homer Gene McLain.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Freida McLain; children, Nikki Miller, Natasha McLain, Samantha (Jason) Nelson, Sabrina (Chase) Hoffman, Stephen Lance McLain, and Corey Chase (Destiny) McLain; grandchildren, Codi (AJ) Miller, Chad (Grace) Miller, Brayden (Abby) Strickland, Tanner McLain, Cadence McLain, Aiden Dyess, Eli Dyess, Carson McLain, Colesyn McLain, Corbyn McLain, Riley Jones, Layla McLain, Caroline McLeod, Willow McLain, and Maylie Rae Hoffman; great grandchildren, Amaris Miller, Holden Miller, and Eris Miller; siblings, James (Joyce) McLain, Dolly (Richard) Moss, and Teresa McLain; Sister-in-laws, Pauline McLain and Vera McLain; numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 6:00 pm 9:00 pm at Moments Funeral Home, Leakesville. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 beginning at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jason Kittrell and Bro. Grant McLain officiating. Graveside will follow in McLain-Brewer Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Codi Miller, Chad Miller, Brayden Strickland, Tanner McLain, Carson McLain, Jason Nelson, and Chase Hoffman.
