Robert McWilliams, age 66, of Iola, Kansas, passed away December 22, 2025 at his home.
Robert Gordon McWilliams was born to Daniel and Brenda (Ball) McWilliams, on June 16, 1959 in Trumbull, Ohio. Bobby attended school and graduated early with the Class of 1979, from Escondido Union High. He then joined the United States Marine Corp eventually joining the Army National Guard until retirement.
Bobby was united in marriage to Brenda Sherwood in 1981. This union was blessed with two children.
Robert dedicated more than 30 years of his life to driving a semi across the country, a career that was more than a job-it was a true passion and one he found difficult to step away from. Before welcoming children into their lives, Robert and his wife, Brenda, spent countless miles on the road together, sharing adventures and creating memories along the way. Those years traveling the highways made Robert a trusted source for directions, always ready to help family and friends find their way wherever they were headed.
Robert was known for his great personality and his playful sense of humor, often finding joy in good-naturedly scaring others just for a laugh. He had a deep love for kitty cats and enjoyed attending car shows, admiring motorcycles, and collecting knives. Rarely without a flashlight in his pocket, Robert loved exploring and discovering interesting places to visit.
Robert was a proud member of the Elks Lodge and the National Rifle Association, organizations that reflected his values and interests.
Bobby is preceded in death by his father and brother, Billy McWilliams; granddaughter, Piper LeMay.
He is survived by his mother; brothers, Karl McWilliams, Danny McWilliams; sister, Janette Gandy; daughter Olivia LeMay and husband, Justin; grandchildren, Phoebe and Kayce; son, Thomas McWilliams.
Services are pending and will be announced when finalized. Memorial contributions are suggested to ACARF and can be left in the care of the funeral home. Condolences for the family can be left at www.feuerbornfuneral.com.
