Mr. Robert is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Janice McWilliams, Lake City, FL; two daughters, Becky Barton, Fernandina Beach, FL, and Roberta Wade (Robert), Lake City, FL; one sister, Karen Carpenter (Bill), Fairmont, WV. Seven grandchildren Melissa Gollery (Brian), Dennis Barton, Stephanie Talley (Adam), Kevin Barton, Robert Wade, and Levi Wade, and Joshua McCracken. Five great-grandchildren are Luke Gollery, Logan Wright, Isaac Gollery, Owen Wright and Lillian Talley.
A graveside service for Mr. McWilliams will be conducted on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Charles Scribner officiating. Interment will follow in Hopeful Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction and care of GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 S. US HWY 441, Lake City, FL, 32025, 386-752-1954. Bob was always a good friend and neighbor. I have missed chatting with him in the front yard. There is no doubt where he will spend eternity. As the apostle Paul said "To live is Christ, to die is gain". Bob truly lived that verse.
