Donald Eugene McWilliams, age 90, husband of Connie Ruud McWilliams, and a resident of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Following the service, he will be entombed in Maury Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. A visitation will also be held on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Born on January 9, 1935, in Grove City, Pennsylvania, Donald was the son of the late Theodore Francis McWilliams and the late Fern Ardell Hilgar McWilliams. He honorably served in the United States Army Reserves. On August 29, 1958, he married the love of his life, Connie Ruud.
Donald dedicated more than thirty years of service to Rohr Industries, where he advanced from riveting aircraft to becoming an aircraft engineer. His work in the aviation industry was a point of great pride throughout his life.
In his free time, Donald enjoyed watching football and was an avid movie watcher and collector.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Dale (Lisa) McWilliams, daughter, Shelly (Myron) Smith, grandchildren, Blake Smith, Connor (Sarah) Smith, Jason Smith, Melissa Smith, Christie Burrows, Mistie Burrows, Andrew Belinsky, Matthew Kursman, and Zachary Kursman, great granddaughter, Lauren Smith, and great great grandson, Kason Clark.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert McWilliams and Jennette Bryans.
