Saundra McWilliams

Saundra McWilliams, 80, of Boise, Idaho, passed away Saturday, February 14th 2026 at 12:38 p.m. in Boise.

Saundra was born July 19th, 1945 in Marianna, Florida to Gerald and Ethel (Radar) Purkey. She grew up in a military family and lived in many places of the world. She graduated from General H.H. Arnold High School in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1963. She and her twin sister, Sharon, attended college at the University of Missouri, and graduated with a B.S. degree in education.

Saundra married the love of her life, Paul McWilliams, August 19th, 1967, at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois. Paul passed away in 2007.

Saundra is survived by her twin sister Sharon and brother in law John Fields, of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Two nieces, Tammy and her husband, Keith Sanders of Robinson, Illinois. And Jodi and her husband Jon Davis of Downs, Illinois. One nephew, Payton Davis. Patsy Koenig, sister in law and husband John and nieces, Christy and Gretchen, of Green Valley, Arizona. And the Khamko Phothirath family, who Saundra always considered part of her family.

In 1967, Saundra and Paul moved to Boise, Idaho and established a very successful veterinary clinic. That was where Saundra displayed, very well, her love for animals. She would be very happy to know that Khamko's family is taking good care of Saundra's pets, Lindy and Benny that survive.

At a later date, Saundra's ashes will be spread at the Idaho State Veteran's Cemetery.
