Robert Dale Meadows went to the Lord on September 25, 2025, in Summersville, WV.

Born on February 10, 1967, to Berman and Naomi Meadows, he was always known for his smile, bright blue eyes and contagious laugh. He was a 1985 graduate of Smithville High School, where he was a member of the track and field team, FFA, and an outstanding member and teammate of the football team. He was a key player on the 1984 Smithville Smithie playoff team and was well-loved and well-respected by teachers, teammates, classmates and anyone he came in contact with. A friend to all, Robbie was one of those people who made and kept friends that he had since elementary school until his passing. Robbie was genuine, raw, authentic and a truly good man. Even in death, he is remembered by his nickname, "Rockhead," a testament to his stubbornness. He loved his crotch rockets, four-wheelers, bonfires, being outdoors, and his friends and family with all his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Berman and Naomi, also lovingly known as "Billy" Meadows, whom Rob was devoted to in life and death; the love of his life, Valerie Edmonson, and his Rottweiler, Zilla.

He is survived by his niece, Jessica Meadows (Anthony Alexande), and great-niece and nephew, Bub and Ava, all of Wooster, OH. Rob was Jessica's best friend and father figure while she was growing up and her children were Rob's "little sidekicks."

Jessica and her children would like to extend the deepest possible thanks to everyone in the Smithville community who have surrounded them with love, kind words, and help in this time of profound grief. A special thanks also to Leslie and Steve Bauman, lifelong friends and family to Jessica and Rob.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.barlowbonsall.com.

Barlow Bonsall Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
