Robert Meads

DATELINE: NOVI, MICHIGAN

Robert Meads, age 98, passed away on May 6, 2025, in Novi, MI.

He was born on April 1, 1927 in Tecumseh, MI, to Oscar and Mildred (Beaubien) Meads.

Robert left Tecumseh High School in 1945 to join the Navy where he served for two years. After leaving the Navy, he went to work for Tecumseh Products until his retirement. He was awarded his High School Diploma in 2003.

Robert married Bette Gordon on May 27, 1949 in Tecumseh. The couple had two children, Gail Daniels and Michael Meads.

Robert and his wife truly believed in giving back to the community and together were active volunteers for Love Inc., Meals on Wheels, and Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed participating in church events at Tecumseh United Methodist Church and spent many years as a leader of the Junior and Senior Methodist Fellowship, however, his true passions were bowling, golfing and playing the organ.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Gail Daniels, daughter-in-law, Brenda Fernandez, granddaughters, Brandie Rosza, Erika (George) Eloff, Cortney (Joseph) Harris, Jessica (Barry) Kallen, great-grandchildren, Carly, Lyla, Claire, Riley, Olivia, Hudson and Henry.

He was preceded in death by Oscar and Mildred Meads - parents, Bette Meads - spouse, Michael Meads - son, and Barry Kallen - grandson-in-law.

Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Brookside Cemetery, Tecumseh, Michigan. Military honors will be performed by Tecumseh American Legion Post 34 and Tecumseh V.F.W. Post 4187, Funeral Honors Team.
