Robert Meller Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 14, 2025.
Robert C. Meller
Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at the age of 70. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Chong; sons Robert and Thomas (Stacy); grandchildren Jacob, Tommy and Andrew Meller; sisters Mary Jane, Nancy, Christine, Rebecca (Bernard) and Patricia; brother William (Ann); mother in-law Park Ok Sun; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded by father William; mother Betty; brother Dennis (Joyce); father in-law Ban Young Hak; and brothers in-law Lorenz Land and Ban Sang Keun.
Bob grew up in Menomonee Falls, WI, with his seven siblings and enjoyed the outdoors and all types of sports. After high school, Bob served in the Army and was stationed in Korea where he met the love of his life, Chong. After a brief stint in Texas, Bob moved his young family back to his beloved home state of Wisconsin, eventually moving into his childhood home.
Bob was a Letter Carrier for the USPS for over 35 years and enjoyed socializing with the residents on his various routes in West Allis. While not at work, he enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and friends and watching the Brewers and Packers. Bob's faith was central in his life and was active in the Knights of Columbus.
After retiring, Bob focused his efforts on spending time with his grandchildren and building out his gardens at his new residence in New Berlin. Bob had a long battle with cancer, eventually winning, however this took a toll on his body. He had health challenges in his final years, however always kept a positive attitude and focused on spending time with his family. Bob will be missed greatly by the many lives he has touched.
Celebration of Life gathering will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 12700 West Howard Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 23, 2025, 9:00 AM-11:00 AM. Mass at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow. Memorials appreciated to St. Vincent De Paul or Life's Connection.

My prayers to Bob and his family. Very sad to hear of his passing. Bob was Grand Knight of the St James Sussex council when I joined and I really respected his leadership. He will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We worked many pancake breakfasts and tootsie roll drives together. He was a great guy and will be missed. I wish you comfort and peace.

My sympathy to all of Bob´s family. He is a big reason I joined the Knights of Columbus at St. James, and will always remember his great sense of humor.
