I have fond memories of Mr and Mrs Menold from my childhood. My parents loved Marlene and "Red" who were their best friends in our neighborhood. Red taught me how to swing a baseball bat and I remember him as always being interesting and kind. He once went snake hunting and brought the live snakes back to show all of the kids in the neighborhood. My condolences to Phyllis and Barbara and to their families. Rest In peace Red.

There are important figures in one's childhood that are remembered even if that childhood ended decades earlier. Mr. Menold was one of those folks. He was quieter than his wife, he let her take center stage but his presence was known! He was strong, committed, he had a laugh that came from deep within his belly and was contagious in its fullness and the man could fix anything. He was adored by his grandchildren. His presence will be missed by all! My sincere condolences to his precious daughters. xo

I have had the chance to spend a lot of time with Robert, (we knew him as "Pa" ) over the past few years and can say that he had many interests. He loved to spend time with his family at picnics and get togethers. He spent may hours playing with his grandchildren. He loved sports, especially our local Pittsburgh teams. He had a passion for gardening, especially babying the tomatoes. He was meticulous and spent many hours with me restoring classic American drums back to better than original condition. He loved to fix and restore most anything you could bring him. He will be missed at his place at the head of the table at our Holiday gatherings and in many ways by his family and friends.
