Robert Lloyd Mercer, born on December 1, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025. A beloved brother, friend, and passionate network engineer, Robert lived a life full of joy, adventure, and love for the outdoors. He spent his days tinkering with technology and working for various companies in the IT industry, but his true passions lay beyond the screen.
Robert was a lover of photography, music, and the great outdoors. He found happiness in camping, hiking, fishing and hunting with friends. No matter where he traveled in the world, he always made time to capture memories through his lens. His cooking skills brought friends and family together around the table, and he cherished every moment spent enjoying good food, laughter, and the company of his beloved dogs.
He is survived by his brothers, Darrell and Bill Mercer, his sister, Karen McIlroy, brother-in-law David McIlroy, sister-in-law Candis Mercer, sister-in-law Tina Mercer along with many nieces and nephews.
Robert's spirit will be celebrated by those who knew him best, sharing stories of his adventures and the love he brought to their lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of family and friends who will forever treasure the moments shared with him.
Robert was preceded in death by: his mother Odessa Pauline Mercer, his father Billy Ray Mercer and brother Brian Mercer.
