Robert J. Meszar

Robert J. Meszar, of West Mifflin, was welcomed home by his beloved late wife, Lisa (Carrell) Meszar, on October 22, 2025, at the age of 80.He is survived by his sons, Robert (Ilene) Meszar of Pompano Beach, FL, and William (Aurora) Meszar of West Mifflin, PA. He was the son of the late Michael and Marie (Adams) Meszar; brother of Karen Stewart, Karol Hess, and the late Kenneth (Christine survives) Meszar; uncle of Lisa (Raymond) Lorenz, Lori Slekar, Jeanlynne (Dave) Thomas, Jeff (Angie) Meszar, Trisha (Ron) Bubnowski, Larry Hess, and the late Cheryl (Anthony survives) Lang; also survived by great nieces and nephews. Robert was a proud US Army Vietnam veteran who honorably served with the 1st Cavalry Division. A dedicated member of several local social clubs, he valued camaraderie and community throughout his life. Robert was an avid golfer and a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, passions that brought him great joy and lasting friendships.Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, November 4, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3501 Main Street, Munhall, PA 15120. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 10 AM, at the St. Therese of Lisieux Church of the St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, Munhall. Please meet at church. Private interment at Jefferson Memorial Park, Pittsburgh.
